pagination of bundle for fiance visa question

    Hello everyone,

I was just wondering, we have put two bundles together for the Fiance Visa. One bundle we have the originals and the other the photocopies. We have numbered ie paginated the pages on the both bundles. We were worried that we shouldn't have put the numbers on the originals and the ECO could reject the originals as we have written numbers on them?

Has anyone else or does anyone know anyone who has numbered/paginated ie written numbers on the original documents in their bundle and not had them rejected

    thanks in advance

We didn't paginate. If you did I don't think it will make any difference. The UKBA arrange them in the order that they want anyway, so I believe.

Pagination? Hmm ... pagination! Now there's a word that - believe it or not - I don't think I've ever heard of hitherto. - despite my holding an academic qualification in English Language & Literature! Which just goes to show, one's never too old to learn ... even at MY advanced age!

Having said that, it's not difficult to understand your drift ... and, it strikes me you and your fiancee have been appropriately methodical and thorough in your approach. True, Entry Clearance staff have their own ways of arranging applicants' documents. But, from MY point of view at least, your meticulousness - far from jeopardising *its chances of success - is, if anything, more likely to enhance your *application.

Therefore, good luck with it ... and to the online filipino/uk community.

To paginate or not to paginate. That is the question.

To be honest I hadn't heard of it until I had to use Word for Windows to produce long documents / reports / manuals.

... 's a new take on Shakespeare's 'Hamlet Prince of Denmark' - or the latter's "page"!

Nope ... ... although I understood the gist of what the bloke had been asking ... it was still necessary for me to look up the meaning of the word in a dictionary ... to make sure of being "on the right track" with my reply.

Thanks for all your replies. Very helpful.

When my Fiance handed in her documents today they only kept the originals and said that she had to submit the copies bundle when the visa processing is over so that they can keep the copies and give her back the originals. Is this normal?

When I applied for my visa last year, they got both the original and copies of the documents..and then they returned the originals after..

Same for us. Maybe this is a change of procedure now?

Hopefully it won't be too long, but prepare for a wait of around 4-8 weeks.

Thanks, I am not being pessimistic or anything, but IF she doesn't get the visa I have been told there is something called an Admin Review and also an appeal. Are they two different things? What would you advise we did? IS there a certain time limit?

Also, I really cant afford to be spending more on a lawyer, is there anywhere I can get help without paying? Maybe the CAB to help with an appeal if we needed too?
