On my arrival I met my wife in manila and spent a night in a hotel before going to Butuan. We stayed at the house for a couple of days before going to CDO to pick up her english test certificate. Back to the house. Then we went to the local beach amontay beach resort. Then we we off to Camiguin for a couple of days. Really enjoyed it. I wish I could afford to live there. The people were very welcoming as always. I just love there way of life and the way they just get on with it. We went to a club there in butuan not far from where we stay in butuan I was the only foreigner in there i was really made to feel welcome the live band was very good accompanied by a disco. I think it cost p600 for 15 bottles of sml crazy.

Exchange rate was p68 chippy.
By the way I did ask one of the cabin crew on klm why they dont fly to manila anymore. She told me it was because of the rise in taxes at manila airport.

Pretty poor the first time i went to cebu i was getting 100 peso to £1 but over the years its dropped and dropped.
Most I've ever got I think was maybe 105....probably mid-1990s.
Life was sweet.
In 1990 it was 32/£1 and still cost me £700 return on the plane.
