Many of the products and electronics that are produced in the Philippines cannot be procured there locally.

Funnily enough that, I was in Gaisano Mall in Cebu when I saw a shelf full of Asda Face Paints, and when I googled them discovered that they had been recalled and banned in the UK for being toxic! Obviously the manufacturer in the Philippines had decided to sell them locally.
It's a disgrace making them in low overhead factories then still charging grossly inflated premium prices, they followed the lead of M & S who will produce goods in whatever that weeks cheapest sweatshop is. After my son grew out of kids sizes I've boycotted Clarks. Buy kids shoes in Asda - you know they're foreign but are below £20 a pair

I thought they were produced in Thailand & China - if you look at this webpage they are coy about naming specific countries http://www.clarks.co.uk/HistoryandHeritage_1990-present only some flannel about starting overseas in Portugal.

I'm trying to back Britain
