[Arthur Little]

Theresa May ... she's had her day
And now, it's time to get her
Out of power - within the hour
And look for someone better.


So come on Dave ... it's time you gave
The country someone better
For all our sake, when will you take
Her resignation letter?


Damien Green - as we have seen
Is just about as dim
From what he earns - time someone learns
We're better rid of him!


Theresa May, she passed away
With no-one there to mourn her
Now we can say, "hip hip-hooray!"
And every foreigner.

What do you mean "edited"? Edited what? Why? Here's me thinking - in the light of the incumbent Home Secretary's unpopularity among the vast majority of the forum membership - my 'little' ditty might ... just might ... earn me 'a little' more kudos and/or "brownie points" than almost ANY of the 300-odd articles I've contributed up till now. Especially in view of the thought put into it beforehand.

Evidently, I was sadly mistaken. Needless to say, I'm disappointed at the general lack of response to what I thought, in the current circumstances, was (even though I say so myself!) fair comment - conveyed in a humorous style.

Nonetheless, my thanks to the few who bothered to at all.

... so sorry for my misinterpretation of your post, Iani; I guess I'd just been feeling totally ed~off at the way decent British people like yourself - and many others besides - are being treated by the Establishment. Although it's more than 3 years since I brought MY wife to the UK, I'm still ultra~sensitive towards the anguish involved for those of you negotiating the many hurdles of the visa process.

Theresa might, if you put up a fight .. let you love someone from outside of the EU

but shes scared of the euros so instructs all her bureaus to close all its doors to the rest

too, Alan for your appreciation. Perhaps I'm a bit guilty of being a trifle over-sensitive about the lack of response to some of my posts. But it's worth the extra effort involved in trying to encapsulate the prevailing mood of the times.
