Our eyes aren't closed, mind you...we are all aware of what's been going on in our very own native land...there is CORRUPTION everywhere and the Filipino people have been longing that one day we could all be free from that bondage of poverty. We just had our National election last May and we have elected another set of government officials in the hope that they might at least make a difference this time. We have opted to vote for the younger politicians but will it really make a difference this time? Ask any Filipino over the age of 50 where all the money is/was/went? They will be more than happy to answer you.
I'm not having a dig, I'm just asking you to question why you work so hard yet are 'third world' by western standards.
