A hate letter against Filipinos! but Be proud, you are a Filipino!

This is a hate letter against Filipinos by a Yankee married to a filipina,a very disturbing letter to all Filipinos around the world; specially in North America, from a man who has the power to reach millions of people. (he's a radio talk host-Art Bell)

This is worth of reading for those who not yet read

As we've all come to notice, in the past few decades, Filipinos have begun to infest the United States like some sort of disease. Their extensive involvement in the U.S. Armed Forces is proof of the trashy kind of qualities all filipinos tend to exhibit on a regular basis. You can see this clearly by studying the attitudes and cultural Icons of most Filipino Americans.

    Origins of Pinoys/Pinays:

Are they really asian? Well we've come to accept the fact the filipinos come from a part of the world known as South East Asia . But the term " Asia " is used in the wrong way. You may notice that contemporary Filipino Americans try very hard to associate themselves with groups that we know as Asian. I cannot count the number of times I have seen a ' Third World ' Filipino try to connect themselves to the chinese or Japanese people. There is no connection and here's why. The Philippines is a Third World country. Nothing respectable has EVER been created by Filipino people during our entire human history. Young filipino men in America have become obsessed with "import racing". They have an enormously perverted affection for Japanese cars. It's a common phenomenon. In their minds, these Filipinos somehow believe that they are asian and that it somehow connects them to Japanese people and japanese cars. They often take credit for the ingenuity of Japanese peo ple and say how it's an "Asian thing". This term..."Asian thing" derived directly from African American slang "black thang". "It's a black thang." "It's an asian thang."

You can see the connection. It's even funnier that, in Japan , Filipinos are heavily discriminated against. The only filipinos that can live successfully in Japan are the filipino prostitutes. But that's the case for most Filipino people no matter where they live in th e world. Now we've come down to this fact...and it is a fact.

Nothing in Filipino Culture can be seen as Asian.

They have no architectural, artistic, or cultural influence which is in ANY way, asian. Thinking of the great countries in Asia such as Japan , Korea , and China there is no way you can possibly connect the Philippine Islands. This assault by filipino americans to connect themselves with the great peoples of North East Asia is foul and disgusting. Try visiting a young filipino's web site too.

You'll see something called the "Asian IRC Ring". It has to do with the chatrooms. The most horrible thing about this is that these TRASHY people are trying to associate themselves with Asia again!! People in Asia don't act like this at all. What we are seeing here is the natural Filipino in its element with full access to technology and this is how they act! You will consistently see this behavior over and over again.

Another interesting thing is that these "thirdworld" people also frequent RC chatrooms such as #chinese #japan and #asian. They must believe that they are somehow related racially or culturally to North Asians. But it's completely WRONG! There might have been some distant contact With China and even less with Japan during World War II, but these people are actually more closely related to african americans and Mexican americans.

Do the parents of these young filipinos know what's going on? Would they accept this? I believe that they would and do. This is the natural "Trash" element in filipinos manifesting itself. Nothing good has ever come from Philippines and I don't believe anything good ever will.

Recognizing your Roots (A Message to Filipinos). To all filipino people:
Please recognize your ROOTS! You come from the Third World ! You country is a disgusting and filthy place. Most people there live in poverty! Your culture has MUCH MORE SPANISH influence than chinese, and absolutely no JAPANESE influence whatsoever. People in Japan and China , do not act like you. They do not constantly talk about sex and they have a MUCH HIGHER level of RESPECT for each other. There is NO WAY that you can connect yourself to Asia other than location.

Your culture and technological advancement does not even come CLOSE to What Chinese, people have done in the past and what Japanese and Korean people are doing now! Everything you do is distinctly filipino. You cannot take credit for Japanese cars, video games, or Hentai! It's not an "asian thing" it's an "American thing". You have no concept of culture...no concept of asian ideas or asian philosophy! Can you demonstrate how you use Confucianism or Taoism in you everyday life?? You can't. And you will NEVER be able to.

I understand that you are trying to create an identity for yourselves as young people... but it is NOT related to Asia . Your Identity is Filipino.
That's all you are. Just Filipino. Think about what that means....

BUT Pinay wins it big in London by Patricia Evangelista
Patricia Evangelista, a 19-year- old, Mass Communications sophomore of University of the Philippines (UP)-Diliman, did the country proud Friday night by besting 59 other student contestants from 37 countries in the 2004 International Public Speaking competition conducted by the English Speaking Union (ESU) in London.

She triumphed over a field of exactly 60 speakers from all over the English-speaking world, including the United States , United Kingdom and Australia, reported Maranan.

The board of judges' decision was unanimous, according to contest chairman Brian Hanharan of the British broadcasting Corp

I find this funny, he is right in some ways where we, as Filipinos don't actually have an "Identity". I think this is due to the confusion of our mixed races from Hispanic, Chinese, American and Malay origins. I see it in malls, imagine young generations wearing ski caps and ski goggles in a tropical country, baggy low rise pants like that of African Americans living in the Bronx of New York, not to mention endless whitening products being sold at department stores and drug stores.

But his ignorance also blinds him from the other truth. That while we may glorify Anime shows and Japanese Internet gaming, he is not aware that a nameless Filipino may be responsible for some technical aspects of some Japanese software. He is not aware of our contribution to the the society in general .Technological advancements that may have aided post war navigations and landing on the moon. That the antibiotic Erythromycin was discovered by Dr. Abelardo Aguilar from Iloilo creating the brand "Ilosone".

Thomas Edison may have discovered the electric light bulb and the fluorescent lighting was thought up by Nikola Tesla. But the fluorescent lamp we use today was invented by Agapito Flores (a Cebuano named Benigno Flores of Bantayan Island, according to the Philippine Daily inquirer), a Filipino scientist. Americans helped then-Philippine leader Ramon Magsaysay to develop it for worldwide commerce. That the personal physician of former U.S. Pres. Bill Clinton is Eleanor "Connie" Concepcion Mariano, a Filipina doctor who was the youngest captain in the US Navy. A Filipino writer Jose Rizal could read and write at age 2, and grew up to speak more than 20 languages, including Latin, Greek, German, French and Chinese.

Or that a Filipino genius was responsible for the near hiatus in the PENTAGON and White House nearly infiltrating their closely guarded secrets with the "ILOVEYOU" bug. Nuisance maybe, but still one heck of a 'beautiful mind'...not to be underestimated.

The list goes on and on, but who cares right? Certainly not Mr. Art Bell...Boy, I'm not surprised.

Perhaps Art Bell does not know that although we consider ourselves ASIAN because we are strategically located in the Southeast asian region of which our nearest neighbors are Malays, ASIA does not mean only Chinese and Japanese race of people. Then maybe it is his connotation that " Asia" meant only our economically successful, paler brothers and he considers Malays such as Thais, Malaysians, Indonesians, and ourselves as a " Third World " race. Then it is "his" ignonimity that would make a civilized person of whatever race puke. Imagine literally connecting Chinese, Koreans and Japanese to the Philippine Islands which is archipelagos away from the countries he has mentioned. I also wonder where he got the impression that we aspire to be Japanese( ???) Hispanics maybe but not the Japanese. But even Hispanics today do not mind sharing their "surnames" to their Asian brothers who they have colonized for 3 centuries.

Another sad reality that although most Filipinos working overseas are domestic helpers and prostitutes, who does he think educates the toddlers of Hong Kong , Singapore , Taiwan and Tokyo ? Parents of these countries rarely have time spent with their children, leaving them to their Filipino nannies. And with regard to prostitution. Filipinos are not the only ones working as one. I HARDLY SEE FILIPINOS STARRING IN PORN MOVIES. THERE MIGHT BE A FEW FILIPINOS WE HAVEN'T SEEN , BUT MOST ARE FROM MR. ART BELL'S RACE.

He also mentioned that we have no concept of culture..no concept of asian ideas or asian philosophy. How can we demonst rate Confucianism or Taoism in a Christian nation? IS HE INFORMED THAT THE PHILIPPINES IS THE ONLY PREDOMINANTLY CHRISTIAN/CATHOLIC NATION IN ASIA ?! YOU HAVE TO USE COMMON SENSE IN A LOT OF THINGS SOMETIMES...

We do not need to create an identity for ourselves. We are who we are. Our identity stems from the anonymity we live in this world. How we contribute silently towards the progress of the world and not just one country. Although the Filipino blood may be tainted with malice, corruption, poverty and prostitution, it is not a perfect race... But so are the others. Maybe Mr. Art Bell needs to think about this.

WE MAY NOT BE PERFECT MR. BELL BUT AT LEAST WE STILL HAVE VALUES. FOR ONE THING WE DON'T PUT OUR AGING PARENTS IN NURSING HOMES BECAUSE "THEY'RE SIMPLY OLD AND WORTHLESS". WE DONT HAVE AS MUCH NUMBERS OF SINGLE MOTHERS WHO GET PREGNANT IN THEIR VERY EARLY TEENS AND EVENTUALLY BECOME PARASITES OF THE GOVERNMENT FOR YEARS AND YEARS.

YES...WE CAME TO YOUR COUNTRY TO WORK, TO EARN DECENT MONEY (HALF OF WHICH BY THE WAY GOES TO TAXES BECAUSE THERE'S SO MANY SOCIAL PARASITES FROM YOUR RACE).AND BY THE WAY, MOST EDUCATED PEOPLE THAT I WORK WITH DON'T COME FROM YOUR RACE... THEY'RE ACTUALLY IMMIGRANTS TOO. AND THOSE EDUCATED ONES DO NOT ACT LIKE YOU DO, PERHAPS BECAUSE THEY'VE REALLY BEEN WELL EDUCATED..AFTER ALL THAT'S SAID... WHO IS THE IGNORANT ONCE AGAIN?!

Ah yes, the famous Art Bell, heard about him before - thats not his real name by the way. He is typical of some (most? Trying not to be stereotypical here) Americans who think that USA is the "best" country in the world, and anywhere else just "sucks". This is my personal opinion, but I have no desire to go to America, the place just doesn't appeal to me at all. Somehow a week in China or a few days exploring Malaysia would be more appealing to me.

wow, the hate in the guy, is he in the KKK or some other sect

as for china and japan, thats , i've seen more and more companies putting on the outside of their boxes, designed in eec, japan, usa, etc built in china ... and oh the japanese have for many years copied and modifed western technology..

as for philippines not being part of asia, maybe because they are the only non muslim country in asia, which suites me and have had great american and spainsh influences, .. america, the richest country in the world, cannot even sort its own problems out, with more than 1/5th of americans can not afford health care insurance and 36 million live below the poverty line, 3.5 percent of U.S. households experience hunger. Some people in these households frequently skip meals or eat too little, sometimes going without food for a whole day. 9.6 million people, including 3 million children, live in these homes.

famous pinoys he should have checked on the web first, and any one know any famous chinese or japanse boxers who held a world title? or international singing stars ?

    anyway its a load of

only good thing about this, is that if you printed it out, its long enough to your bum on...

Just looked at that blog, how BAD is the person who wrote that? I'd say on a range of 1 to 10, it would be 1000 at least. Why do these idiots try to justify what they say by stating "as a basis for this article....many decades of very active life on 4 continents". So that means you've spent 40 years being an idiot?

Most Filipinas sleep a lot far more than western girls. Filipinas are lazy, and poor cooks or no cooks at all. Like volcanos sleep most of the time - so do Filipina girls sleep much of the time day and night. But when awake then filipinas are hot and always ready.
A western girl is as good a lover as she is a cook. While Filipinas seldom know more than cooking rice and fried fish -. western girls even in their late teenage years surely know how to cook and how to create ever new delicious surprises

I think the one who write that loads of rubbish is and I think he describes it the other way around.based on my own opinion none of it describes me first I dont sleep a lot and in fact I woke up first before my hubby and we are not lazy in fact we like to work and we are a hard working people.we work even if its a low payed job and I dont know with some other girls but when I wake up in the morning am not hot and absolutely i not enjoyed doing in the morning As far as I know in my more than 5 months of stay here in uk I learned to cook basic english meals and my hubby likes it a lot compared to the one in the pub or restaurant and I never cooked fried fish here yet and take note fish is expensive here and by the way its good for your healthand as far as I know My hubby said teenage girls they`re the one who is lazy as they rely more on ready made meals in the market so that they could just heat it in the microwave.I dont know different people got different views about filipina women I think he just had one hell of bad experience about filipina.
to loved and beloved is the greatest joy on earth...

    hahaha! well said guys!

I would say the writer of the blog presents himself as an idiot. All i can say is - all the pinoy and pinay i see here in belfast (and there are a LOT) are willing to work 12 hour shifts in menial jobs just to do what they need to do and are CERTAINLY not lazy.

I can say Marivic works a MINIMUM of 88 hours a week, but because she works in IT, when there are projects for the universities to be completed, sometimes she also works thru the night making at least a 100 hour week! Lazy??

My cousin is married to a filipina nurse, and she works her butt off to help pay the mortgage and feed the kids and help those back home.

    Lazy??

I can't comment on the sexual side of things, coz Mar is the first filipina i have been with (and we're being good religious kids until marriage), but from what i heard there isn't a problem here! (I hope lol hahaha)

As for the living in 4 continents . . . . so what?! U know some say that "travel broadens the mind", but to be honest, I have met those who have travelled the world to more than 100 countries and come back more bigoted than they were beforehand (in fact i'll tell u one in particular . .. google "B H Clendennen"!

Anyway, I have no interest in western women now. I have no interest in the kind of politics that are necessitated by being in such a relationship. I am aware there are special demands that are unique to a filipina/Kano relationship - but i'll venture to say it's a wholeheap easier to be with Marivic than to be with "Jane" LOL!!

Anyway, these are just my humble musings!

    SO byebye for now lol!

    Tom

You forgot to paste Patricia Evangelista speach and I think that is the most importan

    Her Speech

    Blond and Blue Eyes

(Editor's note: This is the winning speech of Patricia Evangelista. If you are a Filipino, you must read it.)

WHEN I was little, I wanted what many Filipino children all over the country wanted. I wanted to be blond, blue-eyed, and white.
    FPRIVATE "TYPE=PICT;ALT=tricia"

I thought -- if I just wished hard enough and was good enough, I'd wake up on Christmas morning with snow outside my window and freckles across my nose!
More than four centuries under western domination does that to you.
I have sixteen cousins. In a couple of years, there will just be five of us left in the Philippines, the rest will have gone abroad in search of “greener pastures.” It's not just an anomaly; it's a trend; the Filipino diaspora.
Today, about eight million Filipinos are scattered around the world.
There are those who disapprove of Filipinos who choose to leave. I used to. Maybe this is a natural reaction of someone who was left behind, smiling for family pictures that get emptier with each succeeding year. Desertion, I called it.
My country is a land that has perpetually fought for the freedom to be itself. Our heroes offered their lives in the struggle against the Spanish, the Japanese, the Americans. To pack up and deny that identity is tantamount to spitting on that sacrifice.
Or is it? I don't think so, not anymore.
True, there is no denying this phenomenon, aided by the fact that what was once the other side of the world is now a twelve-hour plane ride away. But this is a borderless world, where no individual can claim to be purely from where he is now.
My mother is of Chinese descent, my father is a quarter Spanish, and I call myself a pure Filipino -- a hybrid of sorts resulting from a combination of cultures.
Each square mile anywhere in the world is made up of people of different ethnicities, with national identities and individual personalities. Because of this, each square mile is already a microcosm of the world. In as much as this blessed spot that is England is the world, so is my neighborhood back home.
Seen this way, the Filipino Diaspora, or any sort of dispersal of populations, is not as ominous as so many claim. It must be understood.
I come from a Third World country, one that is still trying mightily to get back on its feet after many years of dictatorship. But we shall make it, given more time. Especially now, when we have thousands of eager young minds who graduate from college every year. They have skills. They need jobs. We cannot absorb them all.
A borderless world presents a bigger opportunity, yet one that is not so much abandonment but an extension of identity. Even as we take, we give back. We are the 40,000 skilled nurses who support the UK's National Health Service. We are the quarter-of-a-million seafarers manning most of the world's commercial ships. We are your software engineers in Ireland, your construction workers in the Middle East, your doctors and caregivers in North America, and, your musical artists in London's West End.
Nationalism isn't bound by time or place. People from other nations migrate to create new nations, yet still remain essentially who they are. British society is itself an example of a multi-cultural nation, a melting pot of races, religions, arts and cultures. We are, indeed, in a borderless world!
Leaving sometimes isn't a matter of choice. It's coming back that is. The Hobbits of the shire travelled all over Middle-Earth, but they chose to come home, richer in every sense of the word.
We call people like these balikbayans or the ‘returnees' -- those who followed their dream, yet choose to return and share their mature talents and good fortune.
In a few years, I may take advantage of whatever opportunities come my way. But I will come home. A borderless world doesn't preclude the idea of a home. I'm a Filipino, and I'll always be one. It isn't about just geography; it isn't about boundaries. It's about giving back to the country that shaped me.
And that's going to be more important to me than seeing snow outside my windows on a bright Christmas morning.
    Mabuhay. And thank you.

    from hate to hope :o)

i'm white , blonde hair, blue eyes :o) .. but my wife likes sawyer out of lost :o(

    totally agree with her speech,
i went to my wife's degree ceremony, and they had a successful filipina business woman there, who gave a speech which must have been nearly 1 1/2 hours long, telling the graduate docs, dentists and others who just passed some sort of degree why they should not leave and abandon thier country, as the philippines needs them, i thought the cheeky £$$$£", shes been working in america and other countires has a lot of wealth, telling those not to do whats she's done, does she not know that the parents of most of them struggled for years to get them that far, giving up everything to give thier children a better start and life, my wife came to the uk to work and to help her family out, and specially to pay her mom back for the 10 years she got her thru uni. my wife does intend to go back to the philippnies for good, but not til we've saved enough to end us and our kids from a life time of struggling ...

Gee whiz yank, wassop?? Juust what's eating away at you?? Definite issues needing addressed here!!!
    Of course Filipinos are Asian!
I know that a lot of people mock the lack of rich architecture, and the culture etc in comparison to other Asian countries, but if the Spanish and ESPECIALLY the yanks had let the place flourish on it's own, the picture might be a lot brighter.
He rambles about discrimination in Japan, doohhh!!
What do you expect, lots of Japanese can't fully accept anyone not 100% Japanese, Koreans have had a very tough time there historically, despite their contributions to Japanese society!!
    Get a life, nutter.
I've been several times to both Phils and usa, I know which I prefer...
    by a mile.
Things like strong family values in the Philippines are a breath of fresh air in today's society.

It looks like, to me, that the article was written on purpose to start a flame war.

Nobody in his right frame of mind can be such an ignorant idiot .

I travelled extensively around the world, and I never met any race as hardworking and industrious as Filipinos.

Don't let the hole, get to you, he is not worth your time, people like that crave attention, and if you deny it to them, they will soon move along.

Cheer up, you are a beautiful race. Proud and honourable. You stood up, and kicked the yanks out.
And probably whom ever wrote the article still resents that, to the point of being blind to the truth.

    My two peso worth....

Well I got pretty bored ready thru that lot

Patricia Evangelista forgot to add the MASSIVE exports from the Philippines, computer parts, fruit etc etc etc..

And the MASSIVE remittances flowing into the country (over a billion dollars US per month).

Can she explain why the government can't issue bonds because they are so downgraded that they are no better than investing in Bulgaria or Guatemala?

Ask any Filipino over the age of 50 where all the money is/was/went? They will be more than happy to answer you.

I'm not having a dig, I'm just asking you to question why you work so hard yet are 'third world' by western standards.

Sure be proud, but don't close your eyes

Yes, its a sad fact that even filipinos are hardworking still we are considered 'third world'..its because perhaps only few had the opportunities to work...and you know Philippines has a massive population. And the distribution of wealth and the resources it has are being manipulated by people in power and its croonies.

i've justed printed the hate letter to show my wife, and checked a couple of web sites, and it looks like art bell never wrote or broadcast any of it ..

"**Bell did not make a broadcast calling the Philippines "a disgusting and filthy place." A false e-mail recounting his alleged remarks has been circulating online since the 1990s. In 2001 Bell sued the Philippine Daily Inquirer after the newspaper published the e-mail as fact; the Inquirer published a retraction and apologized to Bell. "

and his wife is half filipina

    read the info here

I guess its like the urban myth emails that appear on the net and every now and then somebody comes across and sends out to everyone. Two urban legends were sent out by two managers at work a few years back. Destroyed their credibilty at work and one even left shortly after.
Like all things we should check the sources before we act i guess like Joe did.

Our eyes aren't closed, mind you...we are all aware of what's been going on in our very own native land...there is CORRUPTION everywhere and the Filipino people have been longing that one day we could all be free from that bondage of poverty. We just had our National election last May and we have elected another set of government officials in the hope that they might at least make a difference this time. We have opted to vote for the younger politicians but will it really make a difference this time? No one knows but there is always hope...and the Filipinos would not give that hope up so easily...Mabuhay!!!

Personally don't care for people who could pen such trash, narrow minded, bigoted, ignorant and prejudiced doesn't do anyone any favours, hopefully most people read this for what it is rubbish and instead enjoy the pleasures of such a wonderfull place and wonderfull people.
I'll take a trip there rather then US of A any day of the week. Like any other young nation they got growing pains ,but I reckon they are handling fairly well considering the obstacles.
I'd rather regret something I tried which didn't work then regret not trying something at all

    to change the subject....

How about this, a Filipina will be no 1 in the pop charts next week. The song is called "Out of Control (Song for Mutya)" by Groove Armada, vocals by Mutya Buena (ex-Sugababes), and in shops tomorrow. Buy it, because its a stonking tune and as Posh would say, its "major".

Wow! well done for your 1,000 posts Joe!

I actually agree to your wife but I like her voice though and definitely Mylene Klass is a good lookin than Mutya!

Do you know the lead singer in Pussycat Dolls? She's a Filipino too, just found out recently.

I know you like me (I know you like me)
I know you do (I know you do)
Thats why whenever I come around shes all over you
And I know you want it (I know you want it)
It's easy to see (it's easy to see)
And in the back of your mind
I know you should be home with me

    [Chorus]
Dont cha wish your girlfriend was hot like me
Dont cha wish your girlfriend was a freak like me
    Dont cha, dont cha
Dont cha wish your girlfriend was raw like me
Dont cha wish your girlfriend was fun like me
    Dont cha, dont cha

Not an expert, I only try to help.
