    IREmit and a Parking ticket.

Popped over to IRemit today to send the wife some money. Exchange rate was 66.05 which is not very good. Things didn't improve because as I left there was a nice Nigerian Gentleman putting a parking ticket on my Taxi which made the transaction costs increase by £65, for which I thanked him and wished him and his family a lovely weekend in a roundabout way.

Free parking for half an hour would help many shops and us do busniss in our towns
They are driving us to the out of town shopping centers

I think you have a fair point. Many towns shopping high streets are suffering and this is surely one of the reasons. No rocket science here, but the powers that be cant see that...

When I lived in Manchester, the colossal Trafford Centre had free parking, whereas the local impoverished Stretford Mall charged for parking. No competition their really.

Marco, as you're in London, why not open an account with PNB ?

You can do all your transactions over the phone, and the rate (and their charges) are a hell of a lot better.

My good lady uses CBN Grupo http://www.cbngrupo.net/- phone/online. I used them when she was away in Feb to shift some funds, good rate and efficient service, as well as going into a bank at the other end they do a cash collect

Bad luck on getting the ticket and it being issued by an illegal must've ruined July for you already
