    Illegal immigrant detention up 75%

The number of illegal immigrants detained at sea ports linking Northern Ireland and Scotland has increased by nearly 75%.

Like I said in a post a few days ago. There are no checks coming into the Isle of Man through the back door. Just arrive at the harbour and moor up.

I should hope so - IIRC I'd heard on a radio programme that for a long period there were no checks in Scotland and it was an open back door for the illegals

    up 75yo%..300 illegals caught....yippee!

Likeded said, I should damn well think so.

As for the Isle Of Man, I'd be surprised if it weren't the other way around and all trying to escape the place

When to just look at the numbers of vehicles entering Dover over any 24hr period...I can assure you thousands are entering illegally every day....

Whats that based on? There's a flow both ways. But the bad element, scroungers and job seekers are kept at bay. What Dedworth generally posts on you don't see here.

I would imagine anyone coming through here via the backdoor is on their way to the UK via the ferry.

I have it on good authority that in order to escape the pre Olympic crackdown in London there's a coachload of Roma Scum heading for the IoM right now. When they're not busy begging or flogging the Big Issue they'll involve themselves in a spot of ATM skimming, shoplifting and general thieving

Thats okay by me. I am used to city life in the UK. But I stand by what I said. You don't see it here. It isn't perfect but it is relatively free of crime compared to many parts of the UK.

You make me laugh....no flooding here. But plenty in the more southerly parts of england. Where do you get the idea that it is anymore rain sodden here than anywhere else?
