He said that some people that he had witnessed receiving citizenship spoke very poor English or were “not really interested” in the ceremonies.

I'm truly shocked by these revelations

Ahh...The Sex Pistols...The band that partnered me into adulthood...their music still sounds great

Like the sounds of the Beach Boys, it will never date

i can lay claim to having seen the sex pistols play live, however I felt their playing ability left a lot to be desired and it was the most frightening gig i ever attended, they didnt even get an encore.

I detested their involvement with hard drugs. Particularly the bit where Sid Vicious sings "My Way" in Paris.

Oh..there was me thinking thats what proper rock bands did, took hard drugs...then, died young.

Look at Jim Morrison even Jimmi Hendrix...I wonder what would of became of them in the popularity stakes had they lived to be old men..

Look at the famous rockstars of yesteryear making come back tours..not a pretty sight.

Regarding the so-called "lax standards" applied in awarding British Citizenship:

Considering its cost, any laxity could fairly and squarely be apportioned to the Home Office itself ... in that - despite the National Checking Service doing away with much of the routine preliminary work involved - applicants are frequently being kept waiting up to 6 months for a decision on this final stage of their immigration journey.

    Scandalous!
