Regarding the so-called "lax standards" applied in awarding British Citizenship:
Considering its cost,any laxity could fairly and squarely be apportioned to the Home Office itself ... in that - despite the National Checking Service doing away with much of the routine preliminary work involved - applicants are frequently being kept waiting up to 6 months for a decision on this final stage of their immigration journey.
Scandalous!
