This should have been dealt with at the time, not now. If he's done wrong, why wait until all seasons are over. Pathetic

"Anton Ferdinand has told a court he would have been "very hurt" if he had heard John Terry racially abuse him.

Chelsea and England footballer Mr Terry, 31, is charged with a racially-aggravated public order offence - an allegation he denies.

It relates to a comment allegedly made by the Chelsea captain to the QPR defender when the teams played at Loftus Road last October.

The trial, set to last five days, is at Westminster Magistrates' Court.

If found guilty, the maximum sentence Mr Terry could receive is a £2,500 fine".

What? Surely should be hung drawn and quartered, Dedworth?

Innocent until proven guilty - as I said on another thread complete disregard for taxpayers money by a racially prejudiced branch of the CPS putting this before the courts

I think there is more at stake than just a £2500 fine. This also can make a clear statement about what this country thinks about racism.

If Terry is guilty and is found to be so then hopefully it will send out a message to everybody, including our kids.
