Carina's had her leave refused.
Probably because she'd already booked the previous weekend for the Lancing beach Fiesta. Two consecutive weekends just wasn't a goer.

They do . But several friends have already contacted me with their apologies - it's a busy time of year, and I understand the effort made by those who came in June .
Because Ricky and family are already committed to staying overnight Friday ( 10 August ) I think we should keep that date for the evening meal. As before, I would like to confirm the numbers for our meal about a week in advance - whatever the weather it's Scarborough's busiest time of year.
Of course it's informal with no quiz ( there's one in The Highlander on a Thursday evening ), but the friendships are definitely strengthened by meeting for real and networking .
