    Ukba appointment

MY WIFE AMY HAS HER APPOINTMENT MONDAY 18TH JULY AT 09.45. THIS IS TO APPLY FOR PASSPORTS FOR MY 2 CHILDREN. BOY IS 6 AND GIRL IS 5. WE HAVE ALL OUR DOCUMENTS. WE WERE NOT MARRIED WHEN OUR KIDS WERE BORN. BUT WE HAVE BEEN MARRIED FOR 5 YEARS NOW (MARCH 2008). WE WERE GIVEN VERY MISLEADING ADVICE, THAT WE NEEDED TO GET THE KIDS REGISTERED AT THE CONSULAR OFFICE TO GAIN PASSPORTS. I HAVE FOLLOWED THE ADVICE GIVEN BY STEVE R AND OTHERS ON THIS SITE, AND FILLED IN THE C2 FORMS. THE UKBA EMAILED ME ASKING FOR MY PASSPORT PAGES TO BE CERTIFIED BY A SOLICITOR HERE IN UK. I HAVE NOT DONE THIS BECAUSE THE IMMIGRATION SOLICITOR HERE IN UK SAYS THAT HE HAS NEVER HEARD OF THIS PROCEDURE, ALSO HE SAID THEY CAN CHECK WHEN I WAS IN THE COUNTRY VERY EASILY ON THE COMPUTERS. ANYWAY MY WIFE IS SO CONFUSED ABOUT ALL THIS I AM JUST HOPING EVERYTHING IS OK. I WILL POST WHAT WENT ON TOMORROW. LETS HOPE ALL IS GOOD AND NO PROBLEMS. I ALREADY WENT TO THE PHILIPPINES IN APRIL TO GET THIS SORTED, BUT COULD NOT GET AN APPOINTMENT IN TIME BEFORE I HAD TO GET BACK TO WORK IN THE UK. THANKS FOR ALL YOUR KIND ADVICE, FINGERS CROSSED.
    SHELDON

At first my wife was told that everything was in order with her documents. I had the money ready to send her so she could pay the fees. 14000 paso. When i asked her on the phone if she had confirmation that everything was in order she told only what the officer told her. I made her go and ask for written confirmation that all was ok. I did not want send over £200 for nothing. We she came back after speaking to another person. She needed my passport pages certified here in uk. Section 5 in the c2 form was not completed correctly. Even she had help with this from a american. And also they wanted my 2 old passports.

To be honest i think i will go back next year and get a dna done.

Has anyone done this? And would it be done via the embassy, the problem i have now is marrying everything up in the amount of time i have in my holiday entitlement. Its so sad this has happend. Its not easy for my wife, as she struggles with forms etc. So much red tape going on its borders on the ridiculous!!

That is rubbish about needing your old passports unless the stamp in one of them relates to the time of conception. Also, my pages of my passort were not notorised, but then again, she (the girl in the embassy)had seen me in the flesh, so she knew it was me and said they didn't need to be notorised.

you dont need to register them to get a passport, but the embassy might try and make you

as for stamp in one of them relates to the time of conception. one reason could be the baby was not conceived in the phils but another country , but born in the phils so thats why they are asking..

Both my kids were born in the philippines and i have 2 philippine birth certificates which i am named as the father. They have the passport pages which clearly show that i was in the philippines at the time of both conceptions. 2005 and 2006. The other passports are old ones and from 2002 when i first entered the philippines nothing to do with my children. I will email the embassy tomorrow asking for an explanation. They have not seen me at all, so that might be the reason they want the pages of my passport certified.
