I dont remember if I posted it on here but when my daughter had a break from a 6 month stretch in afgahnistan a couple of weeks ago. She told me the reason for bringing us home for a couple of weeks was not the fact of giving us a break. It was because if they stayed out there for the 6 months they was exempt from paying tax on their wages. I have no reason to disbelieve her.
Thats the sort of underhand behaviour you would expect from the MoD
its a disgrace how our forces are treated, even to the extent of not being properly kitted out for combat,
just shows how much they are appreciated by our gov
