Name change on passport and BRP

Hi,
Is it alright not to change my name on my passport from unmarried to married name? What will happen if I'll apply for national insurance first before changing my passport name and BRP?..
I really don't know what to do.

The BRP and passport should really have the same matching data.
If you change your passport details then technically you should change your BRP.

Actually and legally you can call yourself what you want (well within reason )

I always think it's better to keep things as simple as possible with ID's

But in most cases a passport in unmarried name supported by your marriage certificate will be enough whatever you decide to do.

Keep things simple and keep all documents matching.

No harm in changing your status on here from engaged to married though.
