    Scramble ! Bandits at 12 o'clock!

    An RAF fighter jet tasked to defend the Olympics against terror attack was scrambled for the first time today to intercept a passenger plane.

    Regardless of some of the comments made in that link.
    I, for one, feel glad that the RAF acted so fast and so correctly imo.

    I fully agree - the RAF can be relied upon.

    It was shown again today how porous airport security is and as we have the enemy within I'd be very surprised if the extremists hadn't got some sleepers employed on the X Ray machines

    Foreign passengers could be forgiven for thinking that Heathrow was in the Indian Sub-Continent upon entering Immigration...or in fact most areas of the airport, including baggage handling.
