Hi. Welcome to the UK and good luck with finding work.

Have a look at this website. Everything you need to know should be there somewhere:

hello and welcome to the uk Marie these are the things that might help you before you apply for work
    * join a practice - make an appointment to see a gp.
*sort your bank - this is also needed when you apply for ilr later.
*national insurance number - this is needed by your employer when you apply for work
    others will add soon

    Hi Marie,
    Welcome to the UK!

Register to a general practitioner. Just go to your local health clinic, bring your passport with you for an identity card. This is for the NHS or National health Service registration.

Joint name of you and your husband on council tax...(you can then use this for any proof of address in opening a bank account).

Then apply for a national insurance number if you are planning to get a job here.

Go to your local Jobcentre, they will help you with regards to compiling a CV and covering letter as you will be asked to provide these when you apply for jobs, Good luck for the future.
