    Marriage Cert

    I had my marriage Reg here in the UK before leaving to go, you know the three weeks thing, and two weeks in phil, do you know if its necessary to show marriage cent which I don't have here, we had to wait over a year for it (the right one that is) my wife need's that one to do all paper work, I have ask her to send copy to me, because post are getting lost coming to me (not all just some) but my wife is saying that the Reg office here may need to see the one she has, but is there need for me show it here for any reason.

    No one on my side (UK) but is there any reason for me to take a copy to my Reg office to show them that I did get married (legal reason) that is, I don't think there is...!

    As far as I'm aware fella, you don't need to register your marriage in the UK once married in another country. If you married in a country where the UK recognises marriages that take place there, then as far as the UK is concerned, you're married whether you register that fact in the UK or not.

    I think the only time you may want/need to register it in the UK is if you were going to divorce in the UK, but no-one here needs to worry about that!

    That's ok then, thanks...and divorce..! my wife drive's me nut's at time's, but divorce her, never..love her to bit's.
