    Pasig Floods

Hi All, It is a long time since I last posted. Sorry! Can anyone help me with any news as to the flooding presently affecting, certainly, the Rosario area of Pasig City, Manila. My wife and family had to go to an evacuation centre during the night and I understand that the flood waters are still rising now. However there is no news on TV or online. Any news you can give would be much appreciated.
    Best Wishes,
    John

I feel sorry for the many relations I have in Manila and nearby...very worrying.

I've been watching some of the reports here http://www.filipino-tv.info/2012/08/...-august-7.html, but facebook has gone quiet and nobody is answering the telephone.

Sometimes it's not much fun in the Philippines, but a very tough place to be.

    Yes that's right.

I sent a couple of text messages wishing them well.

Always the poor who are most badly affected. Such a shame.

Yep, plus stop deforestation and stabilise slopes properly.

They need to take a lesson from Hong Kong.

Having said that, they are a very poor country and even here in the UK we have had some bad flooding because of similar extreme weather conditions.

Mrs Lastlid said that one of the problems in Manila is the blocking of drains with rubbish....

don't worry the rain has stop for this moment, some of the flood is already subside. If you want to watch the latest news online you can look at this site: www.pinoy-ako.info.
For those who's looking some updates in facebook some filipino's can't go online because of brown out (no electric power) in some ares.
