So many to choose from. Like you mention, the Cycling and the endless world records was certainly high on my list. Mo Farah's destruction in both 5k and 10k. Usain Bolt proving he is untouchable. Spirited displays from our teams in sports we have no right to be competing in at the highest level, notably the Women's Volleyball teams victory over African champions Algeria, and the way they went about it over the full 5 sets. Seeing women compete from ALL nations, even if they weren't up to scratch.

But for me, the one moment that made the Olympics showed the world just how much sport means in this country. In the beautiful setting of Horse Guards Parade, a modern, noisy game, played in a posh, upper class part of the city, one moment sent goosebumps all over me.

Great Britain v someone in the Women's beach volleyball, either a time out or a technically time out, music blaring from the PA system, but you couldn't hear that....... We were losing, badly, but the entire 15,000 or 18,000 capacity crowd started singing "Swing Low, Sweet Chariot" You never see the competitors pay attention to the crowd, but they couldn't help but look around and take it in. How awe inspiring that must have been. We lost though haha
