I think it's about p500 a day they fine you.
Not too late to get down to immigration and extend, or get a travel agent to arrange it all....rather than risk black mark against name.
Agreed, visit the BOI. You'll be looking at between 3000-5000 php total costs. If you want some experienced advice you can contact Paul in Cebu www.cebuexpatservices.com , whilst he operates in Cebu he can probably still give you precise advice.
thnaks! we will go tomorrow to the BI to pay his overstay...
contact the British Embassy in Manila
wonderful helpful filipina girl there Joanna (surname known but not posted - not sure if she's still there)
They helped me when I was overstayer
not too sure what will happen as you are supposed to apply for extension before the 21 day visa waiver will expire ,since u posted this on 15th? it would have been late to extend on 16th -anyway let us know what happened.
we went to BI last friday we pay 4.040
legal research fee 40
visa waiver appl fee 1,000
visa waiver 500
motion for recon 500
visa waiver fine 500
cert. fee 500
express lane fee 500
express lane fee cert. 500
after we pay we waited for 1 hr for the releasing of his passport with the stamp visa
Thanks for posting back with the results. Obviously its better to get the extension in before the 21 days has completed, but at least you followed the proper procedures when you realised the mistake and have a happy outcome..
As I guessed it was somewhere around 4000 PHP.
I told you so.
Glad to hear your partner got it all sorted out.
At least he'll have no issues at the airport
Next time he'll know to secure Visa at the Phils embassy before leaving or to secure an extension at the airport upon arrival.
Not such a big cost difference, but less problematic.
