I would imagine you are now making many Tesco haters feel rather sick, Lastlid
We go to a well known London W1 store..there's a well known local loony tune who gets on the drivers case every day calling them all the Fs and Cs under the sun...he's even got a habit of rolling under the truck....he hates Tesco yet, he does all his shopping there.......talk about a man of principles..ok, he got an excuse..he's sick.
i shop mostly at Morrisons for food, tesco and asda dont compare for the range of produce or price, maybe because morrisons really only sell food,
have you delivered to Tesco in Walkden gWaPito - its the largest by floor space in the UK
The largest store in our delivery area is Wellington St Slough..but, its by no means the busiest....we got near on a constant stream of trucks going into certain stores that are much smaller but turnover much bigger.
...even my local extra store over the olympic period are having 14 fresh deliveries and thats on trucks weighing 44 tonnes every 24hr period and thats not including the dry food deliveries..
Spoilt for blinkin choice here in York (pop.100,000).
Two big Tescos plus a Tesco Xpress in town.
Two big Sainsburys
One big Morrisons
One big Asda, plus a smaller one in town.
One Waitrose, plus all the cheapo stores (Lidl,Aldi,Netto Farmfoods etc).![]()
5 Tescos within 5 miles of my house.
Didn't notice any other supermarkets, but i'm sure there are some!
Nice to see the good news about a British company expanding overseas being repeated![]()
Actually, I have been aware of the Tesco corporation of Houston, Texas for some years now. But as far as I know they aren't the same company.![]()
i think Asda got one over Tesco when they managed this
http://www.guardian.co.uk/business/2...sda-buys-netto
the Ex-Netto store near me is alot busier now its a Asda store and Asda have a Asda + store only a mile or so away
Come to think of it...Swindon got 5 tescos ..3 xpress a metro and and extra...along with all the others Graham mentioned with a population burgeoning upwards of 300, 000.
Last time I was in Crawley (cld of been croydon) was in mid 90's they were rigging up the tram system.
