Bear in mind, also... that this
was back in the early years of the 20th Century ... a time when - due, presumably, to the lack of today's contraception methods - it was far from uncommon for very many married women to have LARGE families (my paternal granny, for instance, had 11 children - all of whom survived into adulthood).
So ... just THINK! How much safer it is nowadays - for ALL concerned - with modern family planning.![]()
