Just had a very odd experience at the supermarket today. I was doing my shopping and looking to one of shelves thinking what I'm going cook tonight when all of a sudden a middle old woman perhaps in 40's turned up, stared at me like mad! As in staring at me eye to eye infront of my face. I said hello but she just kept staring at me. So, what I did is I just ignored her and continue shopping. Then, a ex co-employee of mine, approach me as she seen and witness the scene ( I used to work at the Coop ) She told me that woman who I encountered just spit on one of the coop employee the other day. After we approached and told the Supervisor what happened ( Supervisor not seem to bother) Then, the crazy woman start following me like a stalker. She even cut in the line in till area just to be next to me. I manage to escape as she got load of stuff. Now, I want to know if I can report this to the Police. Oh,and I just found out she just live nearby to my place and she is local in this town..
BTW Scottishbride, I apologise if you don't live in Aberdeen but I seem to recall that you do. I was actually inside the Aberdeen Sheriffs court a few years ago and watched a woman succesfully prosecuted by the police for shouting at someone in public (in a manner that would cause alarm and distress to her victim and alarm to others listening). I can even hear the Sheriffs words now. The law in Scotland seems to be a bit tighter on this sort of thing. It doesnt sound like this woman simply caught your gaze, I get the impression it was more menacing than that. There is a fine line there and Graham has referred to one side of it but your case appears to fall the other side of the line.

Bottom line is, it doesnt hurt to call the police and have a chat with them. Don't think that you would be taking up their time unecessarily. The police up there will well understand your concern when your husband is away as the city runs on the back of the oil industry, as you know. They will be only too pleased to help. Seeking to avoid someone who lives locally to you can be easier said than done, again, I know someone in Aberdeen that was in that position and it was darn near impossible for her to do that.

My ex girlfriend was a secretary and PA to a solicitor (her uncle) in Aberdeen so I found out a lot that way. She herself had been prosecuted for throwing a biro at a bus driver and the police did charge her. Many people don't realise how differently Scottish law can be in certain areas of life, criminal law, divorce law etc etc is so very different in many instances.

No worries lastid.. I wish I live in Aberdeen, i heard it is a nice place! Apparently, I live in Fife where my husband born and raise. Well, I am still waiting for the Manager to phone me back for any updates. So we will see... at the moment it is under investigation. Normally, the Police come and speak to the manager if they need to report something.

    Okay. Good.

I have driven through it many times. My ex wifes brother lives in Kirkaldy. Used to be a local councillor. Dont know if he still is.
