Hopefully some maximum custodial sentences will be dished out next week to ensure the vermin get the message

I haven't got to that page yet Ded ...either way, excellent news....long before time.....I remember reading a story about a bunch of east european scum hanging round houses estates targeting the elderly as they do

Wait for them the leave the house then break in taking up residence....a crazy situation.

Why it's taken decades to criminalise is beyond belief - another example of how our self serving government puts the "rights" of pondlife above those of the decent law abiding majority

'' We spend far too much time worrying about human rights regime and not enough time worrying about the rights of law abiding British people to live in peace and security.

It can be done. Look at the way the French authorities dealt so swiftly and effectively with the Roma gipsy settlements. No long drawn out and costly inquiry over there like the one we had to endure over the Dale Farm. Mais non-english mes amis, send for ze riot police and ze job's a good 'un.

Which gives me the an idea. Why dont we encourage Britain's 20, 000 squatters to try to take over our own gipsy camps and see what kind of justice is dispensed? It would make a riveting series. They could call it My Big Fat Gipsy Fist. ''

The Express does occasionally print some good stuff ....the above being one of them.

As for the two tribes going to war...I dont know who's worst....the one's who pitch up with nag and donkey on one's front lawn or the filth who break and enter your property then claim its there's...

Absolutely not about time, and it's not just labour who can be blamed, but governments going back literally decades.

Pity this can't be applied retrospectively, and kick out the ones who have in effect stolen houses by squatting in them for a number of years and now hold the leasehold.

In a way, it is a pity on the cases where someone might be homeless and breaks into a dilapidated property to seek shelter, and where this will further encourage those who buy up much needed homes and keep them empty and going to ruin, but this can be solved with other legislation.

I agree with this but I will add something else. This is just my opinion. Limit the amount of properties a landlord should own. There are properties owned by greedy landlords that are empty. More affordable homes are needed. Why not put pressure on landlords with empty properties? After all if your car is not taxed its taken away from you.

Yes, silly why people should automatically assume that teachers are pillars of the community.

When I was leaving school, it seemed to me that many of the ones who chose teacher training were what I would describe as 'mediocre' achievers or oddballs who could think of nothing else to do...but at least it would put off working for a living for a while.

Hardly surprising that that intake were amongst the ones who later contributed to the dumbing down of the education system.

I heard the broadcast with that nauseating woman.

You've got something about the reasons they signed up for teacher training, a mate of mine did it just to avoid the world of work, he then squeezed out some extra time by specialising in teaching the deaf. He was doing very nicely as a headmaster of a deaf & dumb school until 2 years ago when he was cleaned out and had his fat pension slashed by his now ex wife in a nasty divorce

I always have the Today programme on too, but just turn the sound down when certain regular items, like the pious religious people coming on to do their bit of daily propaganda...especially the muslim one.
