    Birth Certificates -(Apostile stamp)

When applying for a marriage licence in the philippines, one of the requirements is your birth certificate. Do you need an Apostille Stamp? I have my original birth certificate but it does not have an apostile stamp on it. I'm flying out to get married in 5 weeks time.

i haven't as yet heard or read of this in our forum over the time iv been here, so im thinking its not a requirment

you just promted me to look at my birth certificate , i found that unlike my divorce decree which has a red Apostille Stamp,(well i assume thats what the stamp is) which was stamped on after the document was printed,

my birth certificate does not, but i am wondering if the red crown coat of arms in the top centre which is printed as part of the document is classed as the same,

    accross the top says ,,
CERTIFIED COPY OF AN (red Apostille Stamp) ENTRY OF BIRTH
PURSUANT TO THE BIRTHS AND DEATHS REGISTRATION ACTS 1836 to 1947

think you will not encounter problem as long as it's the original birth certificate and i cant see that stamp you've said on my hubby's bc either
