BEING TOO PREPARED MIGHT CAUSE ME TROUBLE (What do you think?)

I have been used to prepare ahead of time (it's in my veins) and it never let me down. BUT IT MIGHT NOW..Well, I hope not BUT here's the too much preparedness story...

I know I will be running out of time to lodge my FLR(M) Application since our wedding happens two weeks before my fiancee visa expires. So, as expected, I gathered, sorted, and organised all my FLR(M) documents ahead of time so that after the wedding, all I need to do is insert the Marriage Certificate and it will be ready to go!!! Yes, I thought it worked, we were not able to send my application by post the day after the wedding since it was a bank holiday so we had to wait for the next day... Yes, we used some fifteen minutes of the honeymoon time to go to the Post Office in Bristol..

BUT, mind you, I started sorting the documents during the first week of June and just inserted recent bank statements etc.. So expect my FLR(M) Form to be 04/2012 Version... I am aware of the income threshold thingy BUT I did not realise that the UKBA will be using another form even if I belong to the OLD RULES...

Anyway, I received a letter from UKBA confirming their receipt of the documents and application and upon checking my fiance's online statement, they already have got the 560(not sure) payment.

Do you think I will be in trouble for using an older form?

    I will appreciate scary comments...

P.S. Is it too early to start packing up for a UK-Sponsored trip to the Philippines?
UKBA,UKBA I am dreading to hear from you...
UKBA, a BRP for Christmas will do...

Oooh, depends on two things really

    1. The date you submitted the application.
(Strictly speaking should have been before the 21st August)

    2. The flexibility/discretion of the Caseworker/ECO
(maybe a couple days over could be authorised provided the old form covers the all the requirements of needed rules and provided the fee was correct)

Technically, the caseworker checklist covers those above points before continuing on to processing payment.
Looks like you might be OK

Most likely u will have a long wait too, our FLR application was submitted middle of April and we are still waiting for the UKBA to get their ae in gear and return what should be a mere formality at this stage of the game

Can't understand why it should take so very long. Should be almost a formality really

Thank you Terpe and Malchard... I am willing to wait as long as it's GRANTED in the end... And Oh, the new form looks very complicated and tricky. Hopefully it will land to a considerate case worker's hands.

I posted it on the 28th of August since the wedding was on the 26th and 27th was a bank holiday...
I am surprised they got the FLR payment on the 28th! Pretty quick for a slow case really.. lol

Well I think making it really slow has it's own advantages... Like, it extends the validity of the previous visa (which means more days to be with hubby) if in the end they decide it to be invalid... JUST IN TIME to ESCAPE UK's WINTER!

P.S. i dit not deliberately submit the wrong form...

Salamat Miss Ana -- when did you submit your FLR application.?
