    Help Needed!

    Hello everyone

I have been referring to this website about UK visa application and it has been very helpful. Thank you so much!

Right now I would like to ask some questions and relate my circumstances regarding our spouse visa application. Any help or advice and stories of the same circumstances as mine would be greatly appreciated.

    So here goes:
I think I will just skip our love story and just relate where we are right now. My husband (British citizen) and I got married last May 27, 2012 Unfortunately due to my TOEIC test schedule and test result date, we weren't able to apply before July 9, 2012 when the new immigration rules were implemented. We have sent our visa application July 20, 2012 and were expecting a month or two for the results to arrive.
Gosh. Given the long distance relationship, me being pregnant and missing each other so much my husband started to follow up (he's in the UK now) about our visa application by sending a letter to their MP. Their reply was that it will take 3-4 months for processing. My husband and I were both disheartened with the lengthened processing time :(( So here are our questions:

    - We are planning to have our application expedited, is there any way we can do this? Has anyone here tried to request for a bit quicker result date? How did you do it?

    - In our application, we have failed to include that I was pregnant. I was at around 2 months that time, now 4 months. We were torn between declaring my pregnancy or not.... Has anyone here tried to request for an expedited processing time because your partner is pregnant? Were there any issues because you have not declared pregnancy?

Thank you so much in advance!

I'm afraid you can only wait patiently. I know it is easy to say but don't stressed out because it will not be good for your baby. If you are religious, keep praying and trust that everything is in God's perfect timing. I hope this helps you feel a little better.

Hi Filbrit, thank you I guess we just want to be together soon plus we will be having our little one that's altogether making us a a bit more restless... :(

It will make life a little easier if your baby can be born in the UK.

Hopefully your visa will come through soon, so try to relax.

No need to tell them about the pregnancy.

    Good luck !

    Hi Cheeky Monkey

I also submitted my application after the July 9th changes. We had prepared our application to be submitted before that date but were held up with some paperwork with regard to the marriage license.

I think we submitted ours on July 19th so a day before you. They did send us a text message upon submission to tell us it was a busy time and the decision could take longer than usual. We received our email to say the decision was made a couple of days ago and are now waiting for the visa application to be posted to us. Its not been 2 months yet so pretty quick really. The processing times can be found here http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/vi...ultTableAnchor

95% of applications for settlement are made within 12 weeks, 100% within 24 weeks is what they say, so worst case is 6 months but most probably within 3 months...
