I suppose it's a start.
According to that report...by some miracle they HAVE been fined.
'They failed to do so and have now been handed a fine of £10,000.
Kenny Chapman, local immigration team, South West, UK Border Agency said:'
Sorry Graham I didn't study it I thought it was just the standard £10k press release. I've just recd a letter from Mrs May enclosing one from Damian Green where he gives some info on total amount of fines levied. When I've had time to study it I'll post on here as a new thread.
I guess there's no way of knowing if the issued fine has been paid?
Dedworth, given it's a civil penalty, do you know what happens if they refuse to pay up?
Just curious
The fine is up to £10k per worker maybe someone would like to ask Mr Kenny Chapman why this rogue business wasn't hit with the max fine

I think they can finally get jailed - Joe posted some bits about a takeaway in Cumbria where the owner did end up in prison. To act as a proper deterrent the penalty should be changed from this civil penalty rubbish to a minimum of 6 months jail per illegal imposed on the owner(s) / all directors of the business. They would soon get the message.
