    Depositing a marriage certificate help

    I married my wife in Cebu last year and recently see some place the when getting married oversea on return to the united kingdom the marriage certificate should be deposited with the local register
    Is this true

    It's neither necessary nor legally required. It's just a personal choice if it suits you or you have a specific need.
    There's a service charge if you go ahead, and your original certificate will not be returned to you.

    You'll just get a black and white certified copy.
