    Now For Something Completely Different

"The suit jacket is [usually] designed with a left breast pocket ... NOT to contain a pack of cigarettes, a pair of spectacles - or even a business card - but for sporting a *handkerchief.

Without *one, this pocket appears to be a superfluous detail ... and a man looks as if he hasn't finished dressing properly."
... and it would be INTERESTING to know what others think ???

Interestingly the last (cheap) suit i got had all the pockets sewn up so you couldnt use them. They were just for show!

    * 's particularly annoying ... because it means the wearer has to be VERY careful in unpicking the stitching, or risk cutting into the fabric.

... ah ... you mean the spin-off from the original series? Sorry to've crushed everyone's hopes ... but, in its intended context, this would only apply if the hankie got squashed.

As many pockets as possible for me Arthur...always lots of stuff to carry around these days, but usually specs in the breast pocket.
