What is the best cheap phone to take to the Phillippines to use one of there Sims?

i just took a cheep one i got from carphone warehouse their phones aresim free so can be used on any network

Yep. And when you arrive in Manila you can buy a local Smart or Globe sim inside the airport.

I was thinking more along the lines of...

"Hello, I have just lost my cherry....." I suppose it could lead to some very interesting conversations with their customer services staff.....

With Apple, my last call was with someone in Portugal - always causes problems as they never seem to have heard of the Isle of Man.... But thats the same for most countries outside of the UK.

just buy a phone that quad band ... so it will work anywhere ...

when im in uk ,i bought my mum HUAWEI phone .. its worth nothing but she can use it for any network here in the philippines ... lol

when u buy phone cheap or expensive only thing u need to check is if its QUAD BAND and if its OPEN LINE for any networks ...
