Joe you never know with these polititicians. They say one thing then do another. Farage will be no different. And when theyup they say sorry but the damage is already done.

i dont think any party has said they will be ban spouses of British citizens coming to the UK, i cant see it ever happeningbut they can try and make it more difficult

Smokescreens Joe. So if you cant afford to bring your wife here she is banned right?
We will see Joe thats why my mp is searching the databases now for recent cases that have been won in court. I had an email the other day.
Im trying Joe and maybe if he does find a solution I can share it with others.![]()
Well, thats it. I was having a read through on what UKIP stands for and their type of immigration policy seems to be pretty draconian to the extent that it could easily affect new settlement applicants in the future more adversly than they do now and even those who are here on ILR that arent british citizens.
One needs to study their immigration policy long and hard before voting for them, lest we stab ourselves in the foot.
Like I said. In his speech in birmingham not once did he mention the 5 year ban. He mentioned keeping eastern europeans out of the country but not all of their policy. Very cute.

I dont care if Gwapito votes UKIP or the Monster Raving Loony Party. I imagine the rest of us know to be a bit more cautious.
Have a look at this. Sounds alright at first, till he gets to the bit on the 5 year freeze.
Agreed..
i still think your wrong about the ban..
UKIP’s policy is merely a freeze on permanent settlement. We propose a work permit scheme, where immigrants are able to come to the UK to work if companies need them via work permits. The result is that while under UKIP permanent settlement may fall, temporary settlement and those coming here on work permits are likely to rise

British spouse or intended spouse will only be granted right of entry to the UK,
if they can speak fluent English, and are at least 24 years of age24,
i doubt that will last long

BTW No exception clause in there for Filipina spouses or fiancees. The result is that while under UKIP permanent settlement may fall....
Quoting Dave: 'fruitcakes, loonies and closet racists'
Good find Lastlid. He quite clearly says that he wants a 5 year freeze in settlement.
Surely if he wanted he could be quite clear and say we intend withdrawing from the EU and stopping the free movement of economic migrants to our shores. But he instead proposes a 5 year freeze on settlement apparently without exception which would worry me a little bit.
Get them all out.. scumbags the lot of them![]()
never mind immigration, its no industry that's killing the country.
Yes yes...guilty as charged...you didn't help Andy by insulting me in post 51....lets keep it friendly ah
Going back to the subject..you guys are answering your own questions...fears of Ukip backtracking on their word that British citizens wil be allowed to bring in there foreign spouses.
A coalition with the Conservatives will lift that fear. Nigel Farage knows full well he wont get a majority standing alone.
I think you will find it was Baroness Warsi that made them change their mind.
I read it online, And I suggest you read this.
