someone i work with took the day off so they could be at home when the courier delivered their £550 new Iphone
DPD driver told me this morning he had 105 to deliver to sheep. I see you're on the video Joe
plus the £25 for the adaptor
Oh dear, yet again (rotten) apple has to try play catch up with it's superior and far cooler conpetitors. Increasing the size of the iphone since the Samsung Galaxy is already bigger, how transparent. STILL no facility for electronic swipe payments which the other more innovative companies are offering - come on Apple, this is the 21st Century.
Ok though, less tongue in cheek, if the iphone was released by Nokia, the same people having virtually orgasms over it, would be complaining about how it's behind in the times already, about it's locked-in applications, about it's frankly rip-off connectors, about the companies bare faced contempt for it's customers when a fault is found.
It's a sexy phone alright, but the best? No! Apple is one of those rare companies who really can get away with almost anything and still be forgiven
The one major point with the iPhone is its reliability,it rarely crashes and its ARM chipset is based on the old Acorn Archimedes technology which also more stable then your PC.
Downsides
Limited Battery
Locked memory and apps
Drops calls regularly
Poor cell reception
Poor wifi reception
Itunes ( worst program ever)
How regardless of how you backup the memory when you upgrade the iOS it manages to delete everything
No flash access
Incompatibility with some websites
Cost
... since I know next to nothing about the latest trends in mobile phones ... but was intrigued by the thread title nonetheless.
Reading it as 'Taller than Expected', a thought crossed my mind: "That's ME ... the fact I'm 6ft in my stocking soles, rather belies my surname!"
going to stay with my samsung galaxy 2 and ace least it does what i want
Samsung Galaxy 3 looks nice might get that one over Iphone 5
Nokia 310 for me. Got it from Dickensons real deal.
Sorry, putting aside all dislike of the iphone for one moment, the major plus side of reliability is more than ruined by the limited battery, and even moreso, that it drops calls regularly and has poor cell reception.
It's supposed to be a phone for bleeps sake!
If these are true, how can anyone possibly want an iphone? Paying megabucks for a phone which will be outperformed by a £10 jobbie from Asda?
For anyone who needs the "look" that much - get an ipod touch, which looks like an iphone from a distance, put it to your head and pretend to be on the phone.
Listing poor cell reception and regularly dropping calls in a phone, is akin to describing a particular boat as very sturdy, has nice paintwork........oh but it does have a tendency to sink every so often
Here in the land where there is every type of phone possible to man or beast, it is surprising that i dont see many iphones. It seems here in China android has the market. Samsung Galaxy s3 is a great phone, my friend here has one. I use HTC which is also very good, both i think beat the iphone. Horses for courses as they say. Anyone who does get the 'newest' fad iphone is bound to tell you it is the best thing since sliced bread, only for just that one app that the android doesn't have.... plus, they are not going to say it is rubbish after either spending a fortune on a contract or buying the phone for £££££'s
I know what I would rather have ...
If you want your dreams to come true ...... first you have to wake up
hi there steve, hope all is well,
Apple iPhone 5: Why this Samsung user isn’t switching from Android
The iPhone 5 is the best phone Apple has ever made – but Google’s Android now offers more features, says Matt Warman.
