Care workers sent home after raids

looks like UKBA are moving on from the take-aways to care homes..

THREE care workers have been removed from the UK for immigration offences following a series of raids in Swindon by the UK Border Agency.

... HAD *this been done on their arrival, then perhaps the Kenyans - and the others arrested - would've no longer been here.

A 56-year-old woman from Kenya, who was in the country illegally after her asylum claim was rejected, was removed from the UK in June. Work is continuing on the cases of a 39-year-old Tanzanian man, a 45-year-old Kenyan woman and a 47-year-old Kenyan man.

... looks ALSO like the UKBA's the "keen yins" in this instance.

hmmm I understand the concerns about CRB checks but does anyone know what sort of action a potential employer would do if the CRB check came back unacceptable?

What happens with a CRB check? Will UKBA be informed if a CRB check turned up illegal immigrant?

Just to note - I'm all in favour of care homes providing good quality care - that's not my issue here...
