a cheque friom the tax man

yippy yippy yippy, my em has just had a letter from the tax man and a nice cheque is included, but its in her maiden name, its address to our home but what can we do, we still have her old pastport with her maiden name and we have our marrige certificate , will these be enough to put it into her account, her account use to be this name till we changed it to her married name,

Not sure Steve but common sense would say that if the account used to be in her maiden name then it should be ok. Not 100% sure that common sense and banks go hand in hand.

well common sense says yes but i will wait till saturday and go with her, and if they say no, i may say well i will close my accounts and move bank, but your pints booked behind the bar
