Which is best to visit?
Which is best to visit?
UKBA,UKBA I am dreading to hear from you...
UKBA, a BRP for Christmas will do...
Scotland.
There is soooo much more to see and do in Scotland. And it is far cheaper to visit and easier to get there.
yep have to agree, scotland
never been there but also not many places in scotland too, to tell the truth i have not gone to many places in england, skeggie and mablethorpe as a kid, then down to the new forest and southampton , portsmouth, north wales and devon, i must admit north wales the lynn area is wonderful in any weather
Get the hubby to take you up to Glasgow and Edinburgh.
The Lake District is great and not so far from you.
i,ve got to jump in here lads lol ,being a scot there is nothing worse than glasgow and edinburgh in the winter rain freezin cold wind its very depressin to be in either place in the winter.i,ve been to douglas i.o.m years ago in fact 1982 it was a nice place if i can remember right .I,m from the western isles of scotland very scenic place to visit but the weather is usually not very nice .so I have to be bias and say scotland if you can put up with the rain lol
Edinburgh on Christmas Eve is great. If you are into art then the Glasgow School of Art is great (Charles Rennie Mackintosh) and that can be visited any time of the year. There is of course Edinburgh Castle. However to get the best out of Scotland and its great outdoor scenery then it is best visited in the summer. The highest peak in the UK is in Scotland and there are a good number of larger lakes (lochs) including the infamous Loch Ness.
You are more likely to see snow in Scotland than most other places in the UK and Scotland is the only place in Britain where you can do some genuine ski-ing. (I have heard of grass skiing on the Pennines LOL).
To get to Scotland from Yorkshire is just around 3 hours drive, as I recall, depending on the route that you take and your speed.
But hurry, as you may soon need a visa to visit Scotland.
visa ? it will never happen the snp are dreaming as usual lol
Scotland has some wonderful architecture and landscapes. Well worth a visit!
