Has anyone tried applying for FLR (M) by post then got impatient and UPGRADED to PEO? This sounds like a ridiculous idea (my husband's as usual) but might be worth asking

UKBA,UKBA I am dreading to hear from you...
UKBA, a BRP for Christmas will do...
Your visa may have expired, but since you have already submitted an application for FLR your immigration status remains at the same level as it was when you made your application.
It's really not uncommon for FLR(M) processing to take between 4-6 months.
If you attempt to withdraw your application you put yourself at risk of being in default of your visa application by abandonment, not entitled to a refund of the fee and of remaining in UK without valid visa.
Some folks here have been completely unable to secure a PEO appointment within a reasonable time scale.
Before doing anything please contact UKBA to seek written confirmation of what options they will allow you to take.
Just trying to help.
Thank you very much Terpe.
He might have thought it is like a flight which you can upgrade from Economy to business class.
