Wrong order for visa a problem?

My wife submitted the visa application and then paid the visa fee a few days later, is this a problem or is it best to re-submit it again now 2 days after paying for it?

Hi Rory, can I ask what did you meant by "submitted the visa application"? Did you mean she filled the online application form? Then, paid the visa fee?

Or did you mean - she went to VFS to SUBMIT her visa application - then paid the visa fee a few days later (which seemed unlikely).
