I hope this campaign of boycotting them takes off. It won't affect me as I'm not mug enough to pay £3 for a cup of coffee at Starbucks, Costa Lot, Nero's etc
    You're quite right Dedworth

Actually, I will never pay that kind of money for a cup of coffee. Mine is better

I might pay that for a super quality beer, but that's a different proposition

I would suggest that it costs only pence to produce a cup of coffee

My dear wife talked me into having a Starbucks coffee in MOA the other week. I somehow agreed to pay and was stunned at the price

Oddly, it was difficult to find a seat

Maybe its a woman thing as my Mrs likes Starbucks and evidently so does Rayna. I agree, the prices are incredible but that appears to be the price that many outlets are charging, except for those that are selling the dishwater pishwater. (Pish is a an Aberdonian expression).

As Terpe said, its difficult to believe how they are so full. I guess we are all so different, at the end of the day.

Its a funny thing as my last employer had a Costa Coffee in its premises. People would arrive at work. Go along the corridor for a Costa Coffee and commence work. It was well patronised.

Me - I don't drink any coffee at all.

Or maybe its an age thing? We seem to get grumpier about all sorts of things when we get older.

Tax not 'voluntary', Alexander tells firms

"Danny Alexander has told multinational firms that paying tax is an obligation, not "a voluntary choice" they can make to please their customers."
