What do you think guys?

As in robbing bah...s.....t.......d.........s![]()
again rich get richer and the poor stay poor thats were there money coming from the cuts to dhss benifits and there housing so they can say they have redused benifits paid out cooking the books and filling there pockets as people starve![]()
Another sham spineless "watchdog" body along the lines of OFCOM, Energywatch etc.

wouldn't mind if they earnt it,
In all honesty I think £65,738 for an MP is about right.
What I have a problem with is all the extras and expenses that bump it up. Plus some of them have other jobs which bump it up even more.
I also of course have a problem that the Majority of them are total wa--ers who couldn't organise ain a brothel
I'd go along with you there Marco, salary about right but the expenses are still far too high and easily abused. Wasters not dealing with their constituents like that Labour MP from Middlesbrough who just died http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-tees-19936270 should be sacked
As people rightly say expenses are a con. If any of us had to commute to work we would have to pay. Companys wouldnt give us money to rent a apartment. (We are all in it together? What a joke.![]()
This is the problem nowdays. Politics is seen as a profession. Years ago people went into politics to serve and they usually had some sort of expertise in a particular field.
The modern day MP has never done a days work in their life with the exception of 1 or 2. We have had a series of Chancellors across both Parties who have had no real experience in the world of finance, yet we allow them to control the countries finances.
The expenses thing is a joke especially when alot of them hire family members who probably don't do a thing.
It's possible to become a millionaire now just by being a politician. Ask Neil KInnock.
Ok pay freezes on public sector workers. They work for the public. Lets see if they get a pay freeze. Erm I cant see it myself.![]()
How long was that ago lastlid?
I think that is a different situation mate.
The expenses you can claim may be dependent on your contract of employment and what is classed as your place of work.
My interpretation for a MP is that their constituency is their normal place of work and they will have expenses when travelling and staying in London to attend parliament.
If I was away on business from my normal place of work then I would expect to be paid expenses such as food and hotel.
The problem with the MP's is that they exploited the expenses system and claimed more that they should have.
