Mp causes outrage as he claims immigrants know more about britain than the british

if in doubt give Cameron our PM a shout, he must know about Britain and its heritage

A LABOUR MP has claimed that immigrants know more about Britain and its heritage that most Britons.
Sadiq Khan ‘frustrated’ him to see newcomers obliged to sit citizenship tests when many people ‘know b***** all’ about British history.
    ...
Mr Cameron recently came under fire for not knowing the definition of the Magna Carta.

    He may have a point.
Many N.F and British movement leaders really do seem to have a comprehensive knowledge of British history though.. Lets hope its not them designing any future tests... For his sake.
Any talk like that from me in my hosts country and I would probably be in a Filipino prison before very long.

Andy.. I get your point but as a heterosexual male its still not possible for me to get banged up inside a Filipino prison!
Not saying I wouldn't have to suffer from a sore posterior though from time to time.
Anyway.. The very thought is more than enough for me to think about complaining to my kind hosts.

Most western places you have to take a test now before you can become a citizen.

I understand your point Rayna but I disagree with Mr Khan.I think his energies would be better used trying to persuade the large proportion of his constituents who cannot speak English to take some lessons so they could better integrate into society.
The fact that you have alot of people walking the streets of Tooting who would be unable to explain their problem to a member of the emergency services is a sad reflection on his constituency . But perhaps he's happy to keep it that way.

Well fred, I'm just saying, a lot of British citizens won't be able to pass the test, so why would it be a requirement for an immigrant, as a sign of integrating to this "great" country of yours? I can understand the language test, as it's the only means of communication where everyone could understand each other. I doubt everyone here in the UK know the National Anthem word for word.. Well I don't mind taking the test as it's easy to pass , just saying that these so-called politicians keep on saying the importance of this test, UK's history and all that, when most of it's own citizens don't know it. It would be funny though in the future asking a British guy/gal about certain topic and then he/she would answer "Eh? what's that?" bwahahahaha
