My husband and his family are very similar to you. I find it nice and I guess its natural. It gives me ideas and information on whats going on outside and etc. It makes me more careful and aware about my sorroundings specially walking round London Town (we visit more often) and also major big cities round the country which they reckon is not that safe.

Its very sweet that you know people around you do care for you and for your safetyness. I dont find it annoying, too. For me its one way of showing how you care and how you love the person much.
