Good news and follow it up with striking a lot more countries off the handout list.

No need to phase it out why not end of this year or better still end of this week.

As expected not an ounce of gratitude from the Indian Foreign Minister for the billions hurled at them over the years.

All we here about these days is about India being on the up and the huge potential to make money there. Even talk of British born Indians emigrating there because of the opportunities that are opening.
So what the are we handing the ungrateful £227m a year for. Stop it tomorrow morning not 2015

The Australians also re-built the railway line between Manila and Naga...originally laid by the British, so I was told.

Yes great. Give millions of British taxpayers money to India - a country which spends a huge amount on military and developing nuclear weapons because they hate their neighbours.

    Good call

Just makes me sick £200m to invest in India so they can make cheap clothes and crap to send back here - wouldn't it be better invested in our own clothing factories.

And (as bigmarco pointed out) because India is doing so good now - Indian's now living in UK are looking at returning to India because "the huge potential to make money there"
