Question re supporting fiance and visa application

Just for future reference. Do I need to show that I am financially supporting my Filipino future wife when I apply for a spouse visa ?

For example utility bills etc.

we provided wu receipts, bank statements showing my husbands account number and name sending cash to my account to prove that he was supporting me every month.

But do I have to show I am supporting her when applying. I know I am but is it a requirement ?
