Because the P60 is for 2011/12? Presumably the payslips are more recent. Well, they should be as payslips from 2011/12 wouldn't be any good? And yes, it was probably overtime last year and it is shown in the P60.

On his p60 2012 overtime or bonuses are included in his gross income over the year. I think to be sure he needs to provide the last 6 payslips to show that his gross wage is £1550 per month or more.

And I'm fairly sure, going by the appendix 2 I filled in, that it is the recent 6 month payslips that are the key. If the P60 is lower for the previous year, it doesn't matter as long as the lowest payslip from the 6 months submitted extrapolates to higher than the income threshold.

Well, that is my reading of it anyway and I hope so as my P60 for 2011/12 was below the minimum amount, although this was only due to being on career break for part of that period anyway.

Just make sure when you apply you have the most recent 6 months payslips showing more than £1550 or more gross pay.

I think there is no harm in submitting an earlier P60 if it supports your case. However if you are applying now then it seems to me that you will need 6 months payslips and 6 months corresponding Bank statements to show that you meet the financial requirement, aswell as a letter from your employer confirming your employment and a copy of your contract of employment.
Terpe produced an excellent new guide which covers everything in great detail and is well worth a read.

Is the 1300 and 1200, that you refer to, the gross figures for these months?
