    British Citizenship Application Result

    Hello Everyone

I have a good news...my application was successful and very very happy with it.I was surprised to receive the reply from them so soon (just 32 days after I sent my application) maybe they're not busy these days....

I would like to extend my sincere appreciation to all those who helped/advised me with all my queries from the start. Thanks a million....

    Take care....

Thanks scottish bride ...For the documents,I submitted my passport, hubby's passport, marriage certificate, certificate of passing Life in the UK Test. Its really quite few compared to documents that they required for FLR and ILR.I didn't use the national checking service but did alot of checking before I mailed it.When are you applying for one?

    Congratulations.

Question about this one - when does the clock starting counting for the 3 years before being to apply to be a Citizen? (old scheme). In our case Rose has a date for her Fiancee Visa being granted, one for her first arrival in the UK, another for her FLR etc. I'm guessing from her first entry date?

Congratulations. I am envious as when I marry my girlfriend she won't be able to get citizenship as we live overseas. However, after 5 years here in Cyprus she will be able to apply for a Cypriot passport and then will have free access to the UK as an EU citizen. It's all just daft isn't it.

You're correct Trefor, the time spent in UK as the holder of a Fiancee visa counts towards the residence requirements for Citizenship. (though does not count for ILR)
