VAF4a Spouse visa questions : Please help

I am very new to this forum. I am in need of answers. I know all my questions will sound silly. But please make me clear. Because I will be marrying my british girl friend coming January and I hope someone could reply.

Questions with regards to Part 6 in VAF4a - Spouse visa:

6.1 Have you travelled to the UK in the last 10 years?

Date Destination Purpose Duration

Confusing part: I was a student in the UK for 2 years (during those two years I had traveled to and fro many times to my home country and UK) Then, I was having post study work visa for 2 years (during those two years I had traveled to and fro manytimes to my home country and UK)

So, now do i have to mention the date of each and every visit which I made to UK? Please some one answer


6.2 Have you travelled outside your country of residence
(excluding to the UK) in the last 10 years?

Confusing part: I had been to europe and on my passport it says "SCHENGEN STATES" which gives me to visit many countries in Europe. Then I was a student in the Malaysia for 2 years (during those two years I had traveled to and fro many times to my home country and Malaysia)

So, now do I have to answer just "Schengen states" or countries in europe I visited. Do I have to state each and every visit which I made to malaysia?

question 1. no, ur answer will be the date u first came here and when did u left.. I put mine -- December 18, 2008 - December 22, 2011 - United kingdom - student visa - 3 years. then do it again with ur post study work visa.

question 2. i think you have to state every visit u made (not 100% sure of this) and wrote it the way u did question 1..

Sample: December 18, 2008 - December 22, 2011 - Italy, France, etc. - tourist visa - 3 years.

im just new here, Can somebody help me,about the processing time for spouse visa. Its been more than 6weeks waiting now, since i submitted my application, and still the vfs global said it was still in process when i track my application...what is the maximum time i have to wait.. because its nearly December and want to join my husband in Christmas..

have alittle look on that link. settlement visas are at the very bottom part of the page.

There is no timeframe for visa approval, sometimes its quick sometimes not.

Its a waiting game so you better me more prepare to wait for more days, weeks or months and Im afraid thats all you can do for now.

1st Q: You need to list/write down how many times you enter and exit the UK. Month plus year will do.

2nd Q: You need to write down the countries you have visited in the last 10 years along with the dates of each.

Example:

Q1: march-june 2012 UK Study 3 months

Q2: july 2009-11 Malaysia tourist 2 years

Destination they are asking so its better to provide the countries.

Hi i had an appointment this coming friday to submit my requirements for spouse visa..I already fill up the VFA4a online..Im confused in Part 10 the appendix..i choose the appendix 2 coz im applying for spouse visa..But i cant see any details of APPENDIX 2 online application.Is this a separate one? .Do i need to fill up this one also? or download the details? ill appreciate if reply..thanks

If that Appendix 2 (VAF 4A JULY 2012) Financial Requirement Form is not available for online completion, then you'll need to print it out and complete by hand.
This form is key and you must submit it.

Why not give VFS application centre a quick call to ask their advice, they're usully very helpful.
