Don't you have to be a British citizen, a Commonwealth citizen or a citizen of the Irish Republic who is resident in the UK before you can vote?

I can't vote in the UK anymore, only in the Isle of Man as I am resident here. My wife, on her spouse visa, is also a resident of the Isle of Man, but not the UK so she can vote in the Isle of Man elections. This is quite useful for us as once she is on the electoral register here we can use it as evidence for ILR.
Oh I forgot about that I will write to the home office and get special privileges for all filipinas.
