Personally I thought it resembled a scene from 'Allo 'AlloWell yes, exactly. I thought the same, but as some analysts have said, he is probably simply trying to fit in. My ex wife did that (adopted a Manc accent) to avoid being beaten up by the West Indians in her Moss Side school.
